LinkedIn Networking Helper (“the Extension”) is a Chrome browser extension that helps users generate personalized networking email drafts using information from a LinkedIn profile they are viewing and their uploaded resume.

This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, how it is stored, and what third parties are involved.

By using the Extension, you agree to the practices described below.

When you sign in using Google, we collect:

• Your Google user ID (a stable identifier)
• Your email address
  This information is used to:
• Authenticate your account
• Enforce daily usage limits
• Determine subscription status (free or premium).
  We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, or other Google data.

If you upload a resume PDF:

• The extension extracts text locally in your browser.
• The extracted resume text is sent to our backend for structured parsing.
• The backend processes the text to create a profile summary.
  Resume text is not permanently stored on our servers.

When you click “Generate Email from this LinkedIn Profile”:

• The extension extracts visible profile content from the LinkedIn page you are actively viewing.
• This may include sections such as:
  Name
  Headline
  About
  Experience
  Education
  Skills
  Certifications
  Other visible profile sections

Extraction only occurs after you click the Generate button.

This content is sent to our backend for email generation.

LinkedIn profile text is not permanently stored on our servers.

When generating an email:

• Your resume-derived profile data
• Extracted LinkedIn profile text
• Selected template
  
  are sent to our backend to generate a subject and email body.

Generated drafts are:

• Stored locally in your browser (Chrome storage)
• Not permanently stored on our backend

If you are a Premium user, you may create and save up to three custom templates.

These templates are stored on our backend and associated with your account.

If you upgrade to Premium:

• Payments are processed by Stripe.
• We do not store credit card numbers.
• We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers to manage your subscription status.

Stripe’s privacy policy governs how payment data is handled.

We use the following third-party services:

We send resume text and LinkedIn profile content to OpenAI’s API to:

• Parse resume content into structured fields
• Generate personalized email drafts

OpenAI processes this data according to its privacy policy:

Stripe processes subscription payments and billing portal sessions:

Google is used for authentication only:

Our backend is hosted on Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare KV.

We do NOT permanently store:

• Resume text

All communication between:

• The extension
• Our backend
• OpenAI
• Stripe
• Google

occurs over secure HTTPS connections.

We do not:

• Sell user data
• Share data for advertising
• Use data for behavioral profiling
• Use data for credit scoring or lending decisions

Data is used solely to provide core extension functionality.

Account metadata and premium template data are retained while your account is active.

You may:

• Delete local data by clearing the extension’s storage.
• Contact us to request deletion of account metadata.

You control when data is accessed:

• LinkedIn extraction occurs only when you click Generate.
• Resume upload occurs only when you select and upload a file.
• You may sign out at any time.

This extension is not intended for use by individuals under 13 years of age.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Extension after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
